System Monitor Widgets#

ExtraDock 5 includes compact live gauges for Mac hardware activity. Add them one at a time from the widget library, or use Monitor Dock in the Add to Dock menu to add every monitor at once.

Battery#

Shows the Mac's battery state where a battery is available, with a charging bolt and a tooltip such as the time to full. A desktop Mac shows No battery.

CPU Usage#

Shows current processor utilization.

Memory Usage#

Shows current memory utilization.

GPU Usage#

Shows graphics utilization when macOS and the current hardware expose a usable reading. An unavailable reading is shown as unavailable rather than invented.

Settings#

Each monitor has its own presentation settings: Color (Automatic turns from green to amber to red as the value rises, or red to green for the battery; Fixed uses one color), Text color, Show label, Number size, and Refresh rate (Fast, Normal, Relaxed, or Power Saver, from every second to every ten seconds).

Sampling is shared efficiently between visible instances, but very frequent updates and many animated widgets can still add work. Use Diagnostics if the dock itself appears to cause high resource use.
