Rearranging & Removing#
Docks are locked by default so nothing moves by accident. To rearrange or remove items on the dock itself, right-click the dock or any item and choose Edit Dock. The command also appears in the menu bar menu.
Rearranging items#
While the dock is in Edit Mode, drag any icon or widget within the dock to change its position. Other items shift to make room. Clicking an item does not open it until you finish editing.
In the management window's Dock Items tab, you can drag items to reorder them at any time, whether or not the dock is in Edit Mode.
Removing items#
While editing, click the red minus badge on an item to remove it. Apps, folders, and files are removed immediately; widgets ask for confirmation because their settings are lost.
You can also right-click any item in the dock → Remove from Dock.
In the management window's Dock Items tab, click the red minus button beside an item. You can also right-click the row and choose Remove from Dock.
Finish editing#
Click the floating Save button beside the dock, right-click and choose Done Editing, or press Return or Escape. Changes are applied as you make them.
