Adding Apps, Folders & Files#
There are two ways to add items to a dock.
Drag and drop#
Right-click the dock and choose Edit Dock, then drag any app, folder, or file from Finder directly onto the dock. The item appears where you drop it. Click Save, choose Done Editing, or press Return or Escape when you are finished.
You can drag multiple items at once.
A locked dock does not accept new items. If you drop onto a gap or an item that cannot take files, ExtraDock shows Right-click › Edit Dock to add items. Drops onto apps, folders, and the Trash still work on a locked dock; see Drag & Drop onto Items.
