The Management Window#

The management window is ExtraDock's central control panel. It shows all your docks and lets you configure everything.

Opening it#

• Menu bar — Click the ExtraDock icon → Show App
• Keyboard shortcut — ⌘ + ⇧ + M
• Right-click any dock → Show Management Screen

Layout#

The window has two parts:

• Left sidebar — List of all your docks. Click one to select it.

• Right panel — Two tabs for the selected dock:

  • Properties — Appearance, position, behavior, shortcuts, effects, and actions
  • Items — The apps, folders, and widgets in this dock

Properties tab#

The Properties tab is organized into collapsible sections:

• Appearance — Icon size, color, background style, border
• Position — Orientation, floating/fixed mode, edge alignment, screen assignment
• Behavior — Auto-hide, fullscreen hiding, collapse, interactions
• Shortcuts — Per-dock global hotkey
• Effects — Snow, Rays, and fireworks overlays
• Actions — Hide, duplicate, copy debug info, or remove the dock

Items tab#

The Items tab shows everything in your dock:

• Drag items to reorder them
• Click the gear icon to configure an item
• Use Add Item to add apps, folders, or files
• Use Add Widget to add widgets
• Use Select mode for bulk operations

Sharing#

The dock header includes Share Dock for publishing a share-safe DockShare preview.
